AZ Alkmaar vs Shelbourne prediction

Having reached the round of 16 of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League, AZ Alkmaar would have expected to do more than suffer two defeats from their opening three matches in the UEFA Europa Conference League, having been beaten 4-1 by Crystal Palace last time out.

They now face a Shelbourne side that have perhaps overperformed to reach this stage of the competition but their desire to be resolute is undermining them, with the Irish yet to score in their opening three matches of the league phase campaign.

Shelbourne will be expected to be very solid and defensive against in the Netherlands but AZ should still come out on top, especially with their home advantage.
