Auxerre vs Lille prediction

After a woeful start to the campaign, Auxerre steadied themselves with back-to-back draws before the managing a much-needed victory against fellow strugglers Metz at Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps last weekend, courtesy of a penalty from Lassine Sinayoko before strikes from Oussama El Azzouzi and Kevin Danois.

Lille, under the management of Bruno Genesio, begin the weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top four with an entertaining style of football. The northerners were beaten by Young Boys in the UEFA Europa League in midweek but they have now enjoyed three successive victories in Ligue 1.

Lille head to Auxerre needing a bit of a reaction after their loss in Europe but the form of the hosts may mean that it is not a straightforward victory for the visitors.

Auxerre vs Lille tip: Lille to win & both teams to score
