Atalanta vs Hapoel Tel-Aviv prediction

The departure of long-term manager Gian Piero Gasperini last summer, Atalanta underwhelmed last season but they did still manage to squeeze into the UEFA Europa Conference League under Raffaele Palladino. Palladino has now been replaced by former Napoli, Chelsea, Lazio and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri.

Hapoel Tel-Aviv surprisingly defeated Ludogorets Razgrad in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League before the Israelis then managed to hold off Katowice, despite losing the second-leg in Poland. They have been a little unconvincing in their four matches in Europe thus far.

Atalanta are favourites, especially with home advantage in this first-leg, but it may be a low-scoring encounter as the hosts get to grips with the complexity of so-called ‘Sarri-ball’.

Atalanta vs Hapoel Tel-Aviv tip: Atalanta to win & under 3.5 goals
