Atalanta vs Chelsea prediction

Chelsea’s woes on the road have been well-documented in recent weeks and a 0-0 draw away to Bournemouth this past weekend made it just one win in their last four away games in all competitions. Most notably, they are still yet to win outside of Stamford Bridge in this season’s Champions League, losing 3-1 at Bayern Munich and drawing 2-2 against Qarabag in Azerbaijan.

Atalanta meanwhile, are on a terrific run in Europe having picked up ten points from the last 12 available to them in the league phase. They also boast three consecutive league phase clean sheets heading into this game and Chelsea’s struggles in front of goal over the past week domestically, could come under the spotlight against an in-form Marco Carnesecchi.

It’s hard to ignore the form Atalanta are in when it comes to the Champions League and their attack is a very dangerous one, full of creativity and pace which is capable of hurting Chelsea, particularly on the counter-attack. Factor in Chelsea’s road results and a smart move may well be to back Atalanta extending their unbeaten run in Europe via the double chance market.

Atalanta vs Chelsea Tip: Double chance - Atalanta/draw
