Aston Villa vs Bologna prediction

These two sides faced off in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League last year, Aston Villa defeated Bologna by two goals to nil with second-half strikes scored by Scotland international midfielder John McGinn and Colombia international Jhon Duran.

Aston Villa have endured a difficult start to the season in both the Premier League and the EFL Cup thus far, and that continued with a 1-1 draw against ten-man Sunderland at the weekend. Bologna managed to defeat Genoa by two goals to one at the Renato Dall’Ara at the weekend, with two victories and two defeats in their opening four matches as they sit in the bottom-half of the Serie A table.

Bologna have had a better season but this could represent a holiday for Villa and, with their home advantage, therefore siding with the Villains would appear a good bet.

Aston Villa vs Bologna tip: Double chance – Aston Villa to win or draw
