Aston Villa vs Arsenal prediction

Aston Villa are flying on all fronts right now, with some onlookers even putting them in the title conversation given that they are up to third in the Premier League table.

Unai Emery's side are on a six-game winning streak in all competitions, and have won eight of their last nine in the league. They were pushed all the way by Brighton in their midweek clash, but eventually came through 3-4 at the Amex.

If they are to have title aspirations this season, then Arsenal are the team they need to beat. The Gunners got back to winning ways on Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over Brentford, with Mikel Merino and Bukayo Saka getting the goals.

Mikel Arteta's men are five points clear of Man City ahead of this fixture, and four ahead of Villa.

Arsenal are the favourites in any fixture they're involved in right now, but their defensive injuries combined with Aston Villa's impressive form does make them vulnerable at Villa Park. The visitors haven't conceded many goals this season, but we fancy the hosts to find the net here.
