Aryna Sabalenka vs Victoria Mboko prediction

Aryna Sabalenka continued her quest for a first Indian Wells title as she defeated 2018 champion Naomi Osaka to advance to the quarter-finals. It was another strong serving display from the world number one, as she produced a first serve percentage of 75% and wasn’t broken throughout the match. Sabalenka won 6-2 6-4 after one hour and 20 minutes, and she’s now won 14 of her 15 matches so far in 2026

She now faces Victoria Mboko. The Canadian pulled off a brilliant victory in the previous round as she cruised past Amanda Anisimova. Mboko faced just the one break point and completely took control of the second set to win 6-4 6-1. 

These two faced each other for the first time at the round-of-16 stage in Melbourne, with Sabalenka winning in straight sets. Mboko broke the Belarusian when she was serving for the match, but Sabalenka still went on to win 6-1 7-6. 

Mboko’s aggression could cause some problems for Sabalenka, but the world number one’s dominance on serve and ability to dictate points should see her through.
