Aryna Sabalenka vs Caty McNally prediction
Aryna Sabalenka was not at her best but began the defence of her title in Miami with a straight sets win over Ann Li. She went a break up in the first set but Li broke back and forced a tiebreak. The world number one still went in front and broke twice in the second as she recorded a 7-6 (5) 6-4 victory. Sabalenka picked up her first title at Indian Wells last week and now has an 18-1 win-loss record in 2026.
Caty McNally is her next opponent. The American got past Xinyu Wang in the previous round. McNally overcame a slump in the second and completely dominated the third to win 6-4 1-6 6-0 after one hour and 55 minutes.
This is their first meeting, but McNally is unlikely to pull off an upset here. Sabalenka has become incredibly consistent and will be an overwhelming favourite as she looks to continue her winning run.
