Armenia vs Ireland prediction

In what was an emotional game in the first Portugal international since the tragic death of Diogo Jota, the Portuguese hammered Armenia by five goals to nil at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium the other day, courtesy of braces from Joao Felix and Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as a goal from Joao Cancelo.

They face an Ireland side that have been improving since the appointment of former Ireland and Jamaica boss Heimur Hallgrimsson. The Irish head into this one on the back of an impressive point against a strong Hungarian side in Dublin the other day, fighting back from 2-0 down at the Aviva Stadium.

Ireland will be unlikely to get themselves on the front foot against such a poor Armenia side, and that may be a tactical misstep, but they remain the favourites for this one.

Armenia vs Ireland tip: Ireland to win & under 3.5 goals
