Anna Bondar hit the comeback trail to down Kaja Juvan and reach her maiden WTA Tour singles final. 

The Hungarian world number 77 prevailed 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 against the Slovenian and will now meet Lois Boisson in a Sunday showdown for the trophy.

The French star was hugely impressive once again as she saw off second seed Dayana Yastremska 6-1 7-6. 

This will be their third meeting after they split a win apiece on clay last year.

Boisson feels very much like a different proposition now and could well handle the stage better having dealt with the pressure of expectation throughout her French Open charge. 

Bondar has already shown she can upset the form book having edged out top seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, but the French fifth seed has real momentum and her greater variety could prove decisive.
