Ana Konjuh vs Maya Joint prediction

Ana Konjuh is yet to feature in the main draw of a clay court event this season after failing to make it out of qualifying for the Charleston and Stuttgart Opens. The Croat, who once reached a high of 20 in the world in July 2017, is currently outside the world’s top 500.

Maya Joint lost a close three set match with Emma Raducanu in round one of the Italian Open after making it out of qualifying. The 19-year-old also caused a few problems for Emma Navarro in the second-round of Madrid, with the young Australian pushing the American all the way but losing out 7-5 7-5.

They have played once before in the qualifying stage of the Guadalajara Open, with Joint defeating Konjuh in straight sets but this will be their first match on clay. Joint is steadily improving her game on clay even if the results haven’t quite been there and she should have too much for Konjuh in this first-round match.
