Amanda Anisimova vs Ajla Tomljanovic prediction
Amanda Anisimova’s Indian Wells campaign ended at the round-of-16 stage as she was beaten by Victoria Mboko in straight sets. The American struggled for much of the match and fell away in the second as she lost 6-4 6-1. Anisimova is yet to reach a final in 2026 but has still been consistent in terms of getting through to the latter stages of tournaments.
She received a bye in the first-round and now goes up against Ajla Tomljanovic. The Australian was broken just once as she beat Simona Waltert in straight sets. Tomljanovic has been more consistent at the start of this campaign in terms of picking up victories, and her best result of the season so far is a quarter-final appearance at the ATX Open.
The fast surface in Miami should utilise Anisimova’s serve and she will hope to perform strongly at the last hard court event until the summer. She is expected to come through with a straight sets win.
