Algeria vs Guatemala prediction

Algeria come into this one on the back of reaching the quarter-finals of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations before losing 2-0 to Nigeria. Coached by Vladimir Pekovic, the Algerians had been unbeaten inside 90 minutes in their last 14 matches.

They now face a Guatemala side that, coached by Luis Fernando Tena, are currently ranked 94th in the world. The Central Americans began 2026 with an unofficial friendly defeat to Canada in Los Angeles in January.

Guatemala are one of the weaker sides in the middle rank of Central America and Algeria will be expected to defeat them at the Luigi Ferraris in Genoa.
