Alexander Zverev vs Tallon Griekspoor prediction

Alexander Zverev booked his place in the last 16 with a straight sets victory over Flavio Cobolli. The world number three brought the Italian’s six-match winning streak to an end with a 6-2 7-6 6-1 victory. The German was always in control and served well throughout, acquiring a first serve percentage of 78%. 

He now takes on Tallon Griekspoor. The Dutchman made it through to the fourth-round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career after defeating American Ethan Quinn in five sets. He was down two sets to one at one point and didn’t play close to his best, but still won 4-6 6-1 6-7 6-1 6-4. 

Zverev leads the head-to-head 7-2 and 2-0 on clay. They last played in the quarter-finals of the BMW Open less than six weeks ago, with Zverev winning a close match 6-7 7-6 6-4. Griekspoor had served for the match at 5-4 in the second set. The Dutchman also won their other encounter in 2025, in the second-round of Indian Wells.

These two also played against each other in the third-round here last year, with Zverev winning in five sets. Their matches are usually very tight, but the German is currently playing at a higher level and should make it through.
