Alexander Zverev’s title defence continued with a crushing win over Gabriel Diallo. 

The German surged to a 6-1 6-2 success and will now take on Francisco Cerundolo for an eighth time. 

The Argentine earned a shot at the top seed with a swashbuckling 6-3 6-0 rout of Botic van de Zandschulp. 

Zverev leads the head-to-head 4-3 and has won the last four, including two straight sets wins on hardcourts this year.

However, the South American has won all three of their tussles on clay and has the game to make life tough for Sascha in these conditions. 

Zverev will be a clear favourite so it’s worth looking into it going three or for Fran to once again show this is a rivalry determined by what surface they play on.
