Alexander Zverev vs Flavio Cobolli prediction
Alexander Zverev recovered from a slow start to beat Jesper de Jong in four sets and advance through to the third-round. The world number three won 3-6 6-1 6-2 6-3 and now goes up against Flavio Cobolli.
Cobolli won the battle of the Italians as he defeated Matteo Arnaldi 6-3 6-3 6-7 6-1 in the second-round. He had the opportunity to wrap the match up in straight sets but he squandered a match point in the third set tiebreak. Nevertheless, Cobolli regrouped excellently to race ahead in the fourth set, wrapping it up in just 30 minutes. He’s now on a seven-match winning streak after winning the Hamburg Open last week and will pose questions for Zverev.
Last year’s finalist will need to raise his game and get off to a better start if he is to come out on top in this one. We still predict Zverev to get through, but this will be his first proper test of the tournament so far.
