Aleksandar Kovacevic advanced to his first tour-level semi-final since January as he got past Camilo Ugo Carabelli. The American, who defeated top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the previous round, took the first set and had the opportunity to wrap up the match in the second set tiebreak as he had a match point, but Ugo Carabelli would go on to level the encounter. Kovacevic regrouped well to win 6-4 6-7 (10) 6-2.
He goes up against Ignacio Buse. The Peruvian was also taken to a deciding set but mounted a stirring comeback to beat Ugo Humbert. Buse looked down and out in the deciding set as Humbert went a double break up, but he rediscovered his level to win from 3-0 down. The 21-year-old won 6-3 5-7 6-3.
Buse has a stronger record on this surface, and this is his second semi-final on clay in 2026, following the Rio Open back in February. Kovacevic has performed strongly this week, but Buse will start as the favourite.
