Alaves vs Real Sociedad prediction

Alaves are battling to stay clear of the relegation zone but they are currently riding a three-game losing streak in La Liga, with recent performances underlining their limitations in the final third.

Their 0-3 win away at Portugalete in the Copa del Rey midweek was a welcome distraction from their league struggles, but Eduardo Coudet really needs his men to start picking up points in the top tier of Spanish football.

Real Sociedad's season has been characterised by inconsistency but they remain a top side on their day. It took a 95th-minute winner to beat them in their clash with in-form Villarreal last weekend, but they progressed in the Copa del Rey midweek with a 0-2 victory away at fourth tier side Reus FC Reddis.

The hosts are on a bit of a slide right now and will be looking cautiously over their shoulder. Should Real Sociedad show up with conviction, you have to fancy them to come away with the three points.
