Al Riyadh vs Al Najma prediction
These two sides began their campaign with expected defeats on the opening day of the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League season a couple of weeks ago, before the September international break, and those results could well be a sign of things to come.
Al Riyadh began the season with a 2-0 defeat to a strong Al Hilal side at the Kingdom Arena in their most recent outing a fortnight ago. Al Najma, on the other hand, were beaten by an enterprising and entertaining Al Qadsiah side on the opening day, due to a brace of goals from Serie A’s 2024/25 Capocannoniere Mateo Retegui, as well as a strike from Julian Quinones.
Al Najma did appear to have a bit more enterprise on the opening day, but the experience, pedigree and home advantage for Al Riyadh marks them out as slight favourites.
