Al Ittihad vs Al Fateh prediction

To begin the defence of their Saudi Pro League title, Al Ittihad dispatched of Al Okhdood by five goals to two a couple of weeks ago, prior to the September international break. An own goal, a Steven Bergwijn strike and a hat-trick from Karim Benzema gave Laurent Blanc’s side lift off away from home.

Al Fateh, in contrast, began the Saudi Arabian top-flight season with a 2-1 defeat at home to an Al Fayha side that they managed to produce something of a ‘great escape’ away from relegation with last season. They both had men sent off in the first-half and it was a closely fought encounter that Al Fateh came out of on the wrong side.

Al Fateh are a very poor side and were perhaps fortunate to climb away from the bottom three last season, so an Al Ittihad victory would be to be expected in Jeddah this week.

Al Ittihad vs Al Fateh tip: Al Ittihad to win -1 handicap
