Al Hazem come into this one on the back of a slender 2-1 defeat of fellow newly-promoted side Neom in the round of the 32 of the Saudi King’s Cup of Champions the other day. In the Saudi Pro League, the home team have collected two points from their opening three matches so far this season.
They now face an Al Ahli side that, coached by former Red Bull Salzburg side Matthias Jaissle, played in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup the other day as a result of winning last season’s AFC Champions League, but they were typically underwhelming as they suffered a 3-1 loss to African champions Pyramids FC.
