AEK Athens vs Celje prediction

The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League round of 16 tie saw AEK Athens hammer Celje by four goals to nil, courtesy of strikes from Barnabas Varga, Aboubakary Koita, Mijat Gacinovic and Harold Moukoudi at the Stadion Z’dezele.

Celje reached the quarter-finals of this tournament last season, losing to Fiorentina on penalties, and they were strong again this time around but have struggled since the departure of manager Albert Riera to Eintracht Frankfurt. Greek sides have a good history in this competition, too, with Olympiacos having won the tournament against Fiorentina a couple of years ago.

AEK will be seeking to replicate the Piraeus giants this season, and they are taking a step closer. They should cruise through with another comfortable victory here.

AEK Athens vs Celje tip: AEK Athens to win -1 handicap
