Adrian Mannarino vs Yibing Wu prediction

Adrian Mannarino is enjoying a fine run of form at the moment and broke new ground at the US Open as he reached the round-of-16 for the first time at the age of 37. This backed up a similarly impressive run from the qualifying of the Cincinnati Open all the way to the fourth-round. His run in New York ended after a four set defeat to Jiri Lehecka but the Frenchman is now up to 53 in the world after an impressive month or so.

Yibing Wu, the world number 196, will be his first-round opponent in Hangzhou. Wu failed to qualify for the US Open, losing in the final stage to Jerome Kym. His continued struggles with injuries have limited his schedule in 2025, but he has won a title on the Challenger Tour and also reached the third-round of the Washington Open, after having to qualify.

Wu is the home favourite of this event as he grew up and still resides in Hangzhou. He will receive tremendous support and is likely to push Mannarino all the way, despite the Frenchman’s recent positive results. We give the edge to Mannarino but expect this to be a close one.
