Adrian Boitan was handed a wildcard for his home tournament. The Romanian does have a lower-level title this season, having won an event in Antalya last month. He is ranked outside of the top 600 in the world, but he will hope to make a strong start against Elmer Moller in the first-round.
Moller is ranked inside the top 130. The Dane has not made any kind of impact in 2026 so far, losing seven of his nine matches. Moller lost in round one of Challenger events in Brasilla and Murcia earlier this month, but he will be hoping to recapture some of his form from 2025, which saw him pick up three titles on clay.
Despite his poor start to the season, Moller’s past results on clay have been impressive at Challenger level and he should still have more than enough quality to get past Boitan, who lacks top level experience.
