The prediction

The leaders of the regular season ladder last year, Adelaide began their 2026 campaign with a hard-fought 14-point victory over Collingwood, which marked their first win over those opponents at the MCG since 2014.

It was also revenge for their heartbreaking loss to Collingwood in last year's qualifying final, so they are bound to have a spring in their step ahead of this meeting with the Western Bulldogs.

The same can be said of the visitors though, with the Bulldogs having started the season in outstanding fashion, beating reigning Premiers Brisbane Lions on Opening Weekend before dismantling GWS Giants last week.
