The prediction

Adelaide most recently succumbed to a 52-point hammering at the hands of defending champions Brisbane last week. The Crows had previously enjoyed back-to-back victories before that against Carlton and St Kilda.

They now face a Port Adelaide side that defeated Geelong by 30 points last week after slender defeats to St Kilda and Hawthorn - with performances generally better than their mid-table results would suggest.

Form tends to go out of the window, or the cliche would suggest, in a derby. However, Port Adelaide would have to be viewed as the slight favourites here, albeit it could be a close contest.
