Adam Walton vs Sebastian Korda prediction
Adam Walton picked up a fine victory in the first-round of the US Open, defeating Ugo Humbert in four sets. However, he was unable to continue the momentum in the next stage as he lost to Coleman Wong. Nevertheless, Walton enjoyed a decent North American summer swing, which also included a third-round appearance in Cincinnati after a win over former world number one Daniil Medvedev.
Sebastian Korda’s struggles with injury continued as he was forced to retire from his first-round match against Cameron Norrie at Flushing Meadows. That was just his second tournament since his return from a shin problem which kept him out of action for nearly three months. Korda is now ranked 79 in the world and will look to build his ranking back up before the end of the year.
The American is still a very solid player on hard courts, as shown by his run to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open earlier this season. His fitness and overall health is a concern, but Korda is well rested up and should have enough to get past the gritty Walton.
