Adam Walton vs Daniil Medvedev prediction
Adam Walton has been competitive on the Challenger Tour in recent weeks, having advanced to a final in Jiujiang and a quarter-final in Wuxi. The Australian is yet to go beyond the second-round of a tournament on the ATP this season.
Daniil Medvedev last competed in Rome, and he was involved in a highly competitive semi-final match with world number one Jannik Sinner. Medvedev forced a decider in a rain-interrupted encounter, but he was unable to win a second title at the event as Sinner would prevail in three sets. It’s still been a resurgent season for Medvedev, as he’s been to the latter stages of a few Masters events, while he also has a couple of titles to his name following success in Brisbane and Dubai.
Medvedev has performed the worst at Roland Garros out of the four slams, and his only quarter-final appearance took place five years ago. He was also beaten by Walton in Cincinnati last year, with Medvedev beating him a few months later in Almaty. This is a better version of the former world number one, and he has enough quality in his game to get this done in three sets.
Adam Walton vs Daniil Medvedev tip: Daniil Medvedev to win 3-0
