Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka prediction

Zimbabwe were out of their depth in their recent T20 tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa. They’ll hope that the return of Brendan Taylor provides a much-needed spark to their batting line-up here in the 50-over format. Taylor is a vastly experienced player, very well suited to ODI cricket and won’t be an easy wicket for Sri Lanka to take.

The tourists have named a strong squad for this series and are looking to continue what has been a promising recent run of results when it comes to 50-over cricket. Their best is better than what Zimbabwe has to offer on paper, but the hosts have conditions in their favour which serves as a leveller. Despite this, Sri Lanka are the team worth backing to win the opener.
