The prediction

The Western Bulldogs will head into their clash with the Essendon Bombers confident of another positive result. They have won nine of their last eleven matches against the Bombers. 

The Bulldogs suffered a 10-point loss against the Gold Coast Suns in Darwin but will be not discouraged given that the Suns have been one of the best sides in the competition this year. 

Essendon secured a win against the Sydney Swans after an excellent first half and a second half where they held on for grim life. Nic Martin has been a revelation for the Bombers, and he had 38 efficient disposals against the Swans.

For the Bulldogs, Tom Liberatore has been racking up the clearances for fun and he may indeed get a tag from a key Bomber defender early in this one.

We think that the Western Bulldogs will be far too strong for Essendon in this one pulling away the longer the game goes.
