West Ham preview: Fighting Hammers

West Ham United come into this one on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw with Leeds United in their FA Cup quarter-final at the London Stadium last weekend, eventually losing on penalties against another side in the relegation battle.

The Hammers head into this weekend with an opportunity to, for about 40 hours or so at least, climb out of the bottom three and the relegation places; putting Tottenham Hotspur into the danger zone.

Wolves preview: Restoring pride

Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown real fight in the last month or so with Rob Edwards at the helm. The visitors do remain 13 points adrift of safety, though, with just seven games of the campaign to go.

They most recently fought back from 2-0 down to share a 2-2 draw with Brentford a few weeks ago, backing up back-to-back victories against Liverpool and Aston Villa at Molineux, showing signs of life.

West Ham team news: Lots of news

In his pre-match press conference, Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed that Jean-Clair Todibo, Callum Wilson and key man Crysencio Summerville are all 'improving' and due to be assessed ahead of this one.

Alphonse Areola and Axel Disasi were dealimg with fatigue last week but should be fine here, while Democratic Republic of Congo interntional right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka should also be available.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf; Soucek, Magassa; Bowen, Fernandes, Summerville; Castellanos

Unavailable: Fabianski (Injured)

Questionable: Todibo (Fitness), Summerville (Fitness), Wilson (Fitness)

Wolves team news: Couple of injuries

Wolves head to the London Stadium with a couple of fresh injury concerns as back-up goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is now sidelined alongside versatile and experienced defender Matty Doherty.

The visitors have begun to find form with an impressive partnership in the middle of the park between Andre and Joao Gomes, keeping Angel Gomes on the bench for now.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Mosquera, S. Bueno, Krejci; Tchatchoua, Andre, J. Gomes, H. Bueno; Bellegarde, Mane; Armstrong

Unavailable: Johnstone (Injured), Doherty (Injured), Chiwome (Injured)

Questionable:

West Ham vs Wolves prediction

Wolves need a miraculous escape of the likes that have never, and probably will never, happen. They are becoming difficult to play against and earning some pride back, though. West Ham have performed well in 2026 but have dipped in recent outings, with a woeful performance in a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa before the international break. The Irons remain slight favourites with home advantage but Wolves are expected to make it awkward for the desperate east Londoners.

West Ham vs Wolves tip: West Ham to win & under 3.5 goals
