The prediction

The West Coast Eagles (18th) suffered their 10th consecutive defeat in Round 21, going down to Melbourne by 83 points. In a difficult season, the focus for the Eagles is on finding positives and developing their young talent.

The Adelaide Crows (1st) are flying, coming off a thrilling 14-point victory over Hawthorn that saw them claim top spot on the ladder. They showed great maturity and composure to overcome a fast start from the Hawks and win a tough contest. That Hawthorn form has been franked after they destroyed the Pies to begin Round 22.

West Coast's mid-season recruit Ryan Maric has a decent game in the heavy loss to Melbourne. The young forward worked tirelessly, collecting 29 disposals and kicking a goal in an impressive performance:

Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson was immense in the win over Hawthorn. He led from the front when the game was on the line in the second quarter, finishing with 21 disposals, 12 tackles, and two crucial goals.

Adelaide has dominated recent meetings between these two clubs, winning the last six clashes. The Crows thrashed the Eagles by 66 points when they met earlier in the 2025 season in Round 11.

The Crows will be heavily focused on securing a healthy percentage boost to help them lock up the minor premiership. For West Coast, this is another valuable opportunity to expose their young and developing players to the competition's benchmark team.

West Coast vs Adelaide tip: Adelaide to win by 50+ points
