Thiago Moises: Veteran Brazilian looks to bounce back from KO loss

Thiago Moises (19-9) is coming off a knockout loss at the hands of Jared Gordon last time out so the veteran Brazilian will look to bounce back from that. That loss came almost a year ago so he will be hoping the time out will have served him well. That was his third loss to come by KO/TKO and he responded to both previous losses with a win so he will look to repeat that here.

Gauge Young: Rising prospect aiming to build on first UFC win

Gauge Young (10-3) picked up a unanimous decision win last time out to register his first victory in the Octagon and he will look to build on that here. After losing in Dana White’s Contender Series, he finally got his chance at UFC on ESPN 66 last April but he was undone by Evan Elder. He overcame Maheshate Hayisaer last time out however and the 25-year-old will look to build on that now.

Thiago Moises vs Gauge Young prediction

This is a really interesting match-up where veteran Thiago Moises takes on the promising 25-year-old Gauge Young.

After being knocked out in his last fight, Moises will not want to engage in a slugfest with the younger man and we expect the Brazilian to lean on the side of caution and look to control this fight on the mat.

His ground game is exceptional and he possesses strong submission skills. Young is unlikely to be experienced enough to handle that and we favour Moises to get the points or submission victory in this one.

Prediction: Thiago Moises to win
