Southern Brave women are now officially the only remaining team across both the women and men’s Hundred competitions this year to have still not lost a game. It’s now played three and won three for the Brave following a hugely impressive eight-wicket triumph over Northern Superchargers, perhaps their best all-round performance yet.
Trent Rockets have their work cut out here and whilst they do boast the individual quality capable of winning on any given day through the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ashleigh Gardner to name just two, their domestic core is weak and the bowling has lacked bite aside from spinners such as Gardner and Alana King. Southern Brave are likely to enjoy the quicker bowling on offer from the hosts and it’s worth backing the visitors to use that as a springboard to propel them to victory.
