Northern Superchargers will be nervously looking at the weather forecast over the course of Saturday and hoping for a change prior to the start of play. Because should the Eliminator be washed out, Trent Rockets will go through to Sunday’s final as the second-place finisher in the group stage. That would be extremely cruel on the Superchargers, who won five of their eight group matches and would dearly love the opportunity to gain revenge on Trent Rockets, who beat them by five wickets the last time these two collided.

The Rockets are coming off the back of having won consecutive games by three wickets.
