Thun vs Hearts prediction
Two underachievers so far in Europe, Thun and Hearts both need to rally. The latter have surprisingly struggled going forward, scoring just once across two league phase games and picking up a single point. Their most recent fixture saw them beaten 2-0 by ten-man Trabzonspor. The Jambos are also coming off the back of a Scottish League Cup semi-final defeat to bitter rivals Hibernian, and it's imperative that Wouter Vrancken’s side bounces back at the first time of asking.
Thun have struggled all campaign domestically and haven't fared much better in Europe, losing by a single goal to both Twente and Hajduk Split. Their cutting edge going forward has been significantly lacking, and whilst Thun's back line have fought admirably, ultimately that hasn't proven enough.
When factoring in the attacking struggles of both clubs in this competition, confidence is likely to be low within the two dressing rooms. With that in mind, a turgid contest could be on the menu in Switzerland and backing under 3.5 goals should be seriously considered.
