Supporters remain frustrated with the running of the club and a stagnation in recent seasons now sees Barnsley fall into a relegation battle in League One. Barnsley managed to hold Oxford United to a 1-1 draw last week after going down to ten men nine minutes into the game but they remain second-bottom in the third-tier.
Aldershot Town come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Gateshead in their most recent outing last weekend. They sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table in the National League. In the fourth qualifying round, The Shots needed a replay to eventually see off Tadley Calleva a few weeks ago.
Aldershot themselves aren’t in electric form but the distractions of their league form malaise of the hosts may well mean it is good value to side with the visitors in Yorkshire.
