THE PREDICTION

World number 89 Jodie Burrage conceded just two games to Ankita Raina on Monday to pull within one win of snapping her career-high of 85th. The 24-year-old reached her maiden WTA tour final at the Nottingham Open on grass in June, finishing runner-up to Katie Boulter, and she has made steady progress since. World number 104 Tamara Korpatsch has also enjoyed an upturn in form in recent months, including a run to the semi-finals of the Prague Open in early August. The 28-year-old needed three sets to overcome Leolia Jeanjean on Tuesday but she will pose much more of a threat to Burrage than Raina did considering she beat the Brit in the first round of the Ningbo Open late last month. Burrage still feels like the slight favourite after her opener but take Korpatsch to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
