MIRRA ANDREEVA VS EMINA BEKTAS PREDICTION
World number 38 Mirra Andreeva burst onto the scene as a precocious 16-year-old at the Madrid Masters last season, reaching the round of 16 before defeat to Aryna Sabalenka, and she went a round further earlier this month before another defeat to the world number two.
Andreeva, now 17, further impressed with a run to the third round here last season, taking the first set from Coco Gauff before defeat, and she came agonisingly close to making the quarter-finals on her Wimbledon debut a month later to prove herself an out-and=-out rising star.
World number 98 Emina Bektas has worked hard to improve her ranking over the past 12 months, recently enjoying success on the ITF circuit in Japan, but this looks a thankless task. Andreeva may start a little shakily after taking a few weeks off since Rome but the Russian is good enough to blast through this first encounter in straight sets.
