Defending champion Tatjana Maria is yet to drop a set on her return to the Bogota Open and despite the clear underdog narrative arc to this semi-final the 35-year-old should be too wily to slip up now. 35-year-old Maria should be ranked a lot higher than world number 66 given her miraculous run to the semi-finals of Wimbledon last summer, where ranking points were controversially denied, but she will be desperate to at least defend what points she has gained from her success here and she looks the solid favourite to do so on Sunday. 22-year-old Fran Jones has more than halved her current world ranking of 817th, due to a long injury lay-off, after a spirited run to the semi-finals and her upset over third seed Nuria Parrizas-Diaz should not go ignored here. The Brit stands a fair chance at taking this to three sets in a first meeting between the two but back veteran Maria to win in two.
