ELINA SVITOLINA VS DIANE PARRY PREDICTION
Former world number three Elina Svitolina came back from a set down to beat old foe Karolina Pliskova on Monday but this is another tough draw for the 15th seed against French hopeful Diane Parry.
29-year-old Svitolina beat Parry in straight sets at the Strasbourg Open last week but then lost to Clara Burel in three, in a reversal of the final there last season, to further suggest that she is currently struggling to find her best tennis 12 months on from her remarkable run to the last eight here.
World number 63 Parry came back from a set down to beat Fiona Ferro on Monday and she will be eager to enjoy a full partisan support this time around as one of the few French players left in the draw. Back Svitolina to find a way through but it would not be a surprise to see Parry force a decider after impressing in her Grand Slam appearances so far.
