DONNA VEKIC VS LESIA TSURENKO PREDICTION
World number 40 Donna Vekic will be feeling hard done by after drawing world number 44 Lesia Tsurenko for the second time in as many tournaments. The Croat has bever beaten the Ukrainian in normal play, claiming her only win of a 1-3 head-to-head via an injury to the Ukrainian at the Monterrey Open last season, in what has proven to be a tough match-up in recent months.
34-year-old Tsurenko is probably the more comfortable on clay overall but their first meeting on the surface went to a tight deciding tiebreak in Rome to suggest this could be an entertaining scrap early on Sunday.
Neither player brings much form into the mix but expect Vekic to be desperate to snap a three-match losing streak against Tsurenko, who was forced to withdraw from Rome the round after beating the Croat. Back Vekic to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
