THE PREDICTION
Assuming that world number one Novak Djokovic beats the increasingly impressive Zhizhen Zhang before world number 15 Qinwen Zheng levels things for China against Serbia’s underdog, Olga Danilovic, this should be another thrilling doubles decider in Perth. Djokovic will provide the clear star power in this clash, most likely between the four singles players aforementioned, but Danilovic is something of a weak link against Qinwen Zheng in a doubles format despite her strong results in the format in recent seasons alongside various partners. Zhang and Zheng conceded just three games to an already beaten Czechia outfit on Saturday but practice as a doubles team, made up of both Gold medallists at the Asian Games late last season, should prove too much for Serbia. It is certainly best to wait for the two singles results before making a decision but back China, high on their excellent opener over Czechia, to edge a live encounter.
TIP: CHINA TO WIN
