World number 10 Alex de Minaur made it six wins on the spin with a consummate victory over Taro Daniel on Friday, backing-up his excellent defence of the Mexican Open title last weekend. 26-year-old Alexander Bublik brought a career-high ATP world ranking of 20th into Indian Wells and he looked resolute in a avoiding an upset against up-and-coming teenager Jerry Shang. The 26-year-old claimed the fourth ATP title of his career, and a third within the past nine months, at the Montpellier Open in February and he finished runner-up to Ugo Humbert at the Dubai 500 two weeks ago to bring some excellent form to the Sunshine Double.
