World number 19 Alex de Minaur extended his excellent record over Andy Murray to 3-0 after blasting past the Brit in straight sets on Monday. The 24-year-old recently claimed the most prestigious title of his career at the Mexican Open to embellish what has been an impressive season so far and back-to-back early defeats on the Sunshine Double were understandable given how hard it is to win in Acapulco. This could end up a proper thriller against Jan-Lennard Struff if the German brings his best on Wednesday. The 32-year-old is much better than his current ATP world ranking of 100th suggests and a straight-sets victory over Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Monday is an excellent way to start a Monte-Carlo campaign after qualifying well this weekend. Both players are comfortable all-courters with great weapons for the clay but De Minaur should be able to win through eventually if he can repeat his level from Monday.
