World number 399 Michail Pervolarakis has lost each of his six ATP Cup matches so far after a straight-sets defeat to Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak on Saturday. The 25-year-old is one of the lower-ranked players in the tournament but he did manage to grab a consolation doubles win alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas that could prove useful come the end of the group stage. World number 44 Federico Delbonis should be a step too far in the singles, though, after the 31-year-old dismissed Georgia’s Aleksandre Metreveli for just three games in his opening rubber on Saturday. The Argentine should be targeting straight-set wins in each of his matches this week as by far the best second option player in Group D and he can make it two in two here against Pervolarakis.
