THE PREDICTION
World number 111 Sebastian Baez is in pole position to qualify for the semi-finals if he can beat Hugo Gaston on Thursday. The Argentine only came in last minute after Jenson Brooksby was forced to pull out of the tournament but his shock win over Lorenzo Musetti in the first round robin gives him a fighting chance. World number 67 Hugo Gaston has lost two five-set thrillers to Sebastian Korda and most recently Musetti but he is unlikely to give up now without a fight against Baez, who lost in three sets to Korda on Wednesday. With Korda already through in the other Group B match it remains to be seen if Musetti can beat the American to see them both through but this match should be a feisty one with sets in it for both players. Taking Gaston to win at least two sets, as he has done twice already this week, looks a decent option as the likelier of two capable winners.
