THE PREDICTION

32nd seed Adrian Mannarino continued his good form from the end of last season by beating a plucky Dennis Novak in straight sets on Monday. He will face Miomir Kecmanovic for the second time in just a few months after the Frenchman beat the world number 41 in straight sets at the Cologne 2 Open last Autumn to reach the quarter-finals there. 21-year-old Kecmanovic is certainly a player to watch for the future and he made short work of Kamil Majchrzak in the first round but he is likely to come up short against consummate professional Mannarino here. The Frenchman is a consistent threat to the players around him in the rankings and the world number 36 should find a way through to the third round, with both players able to take a set.
