The prediction

The Swans come into week 10 on the back of six successive victories in the AFL and the league leaders will be eager to extend that streak as they come up against Collingwood.

They have some positive team news ahead of this clash as Charlie Curnow, Tom McCartin and Jai Serong all return from injury and strengthen an already strong outfit.

Collingwood come into this match having gone down against Geelong heavily last week. That took their record to 4-4-1 and they will be eager to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.

That will be easier said than done against the Swans and they have decided to rest veteran Scott Pendlebury due to the quick turnaround in games.

With that in mind, they may already be targeting their clash against West Coast Eagles next time out as a more winnable fixture which does not bode well for their chances here.

For that reason, Collingwood are handed a 36.5 point start which in this type of game seems quite generous. Even if Sydney get the win which we fully expect, we fancy the visiting side to keep it within that range.
