Ashleigh Gardner's side come into this intercity derby on the back of three wins from three, most recently getting the better of Melbourne Stars in an enthralling battle, posting 160 runs, with Ellyse Perry continuing her excellent form on 84 not out. The Sixers hung on to win by just one run to maintain their 100% record and their next challenge comes in the form of fierce rivals Sydney Thunder, who have won two from three.
However, the Thunder are coming off the back of defeat at the hands of Perth Scorchers, where Australia international Beth Mooney was instrumental in their loss and that’s notable when considering that a key factor in the Sixers' success so far this year has been the form of their international superstars. It may well be the case that the Thunder once again fall short, due to key contributions from world-class players such as Perry and/or Gardner. Therefore, back the unbeaten Sixers to claim bragging rights.
